Jan 5, 2013 1:38 PMI love the roasted sweet bell peppers from Portillo's in Chicago but I live in Texas! They use Olive Oil and spices but I can't seem to make it the same. Any suggestions?

Jun 12, 2012 11:18 AMI have made roasted peppers in the oven, but wanted to see how to make them on a grill. I like the idea of the stove top when only 1-2 peppers are needed and it it seems fast. However, I don't have a gas stove. I am glad I watched the video, because on the grill I may have used a little oil. It looks like it isn't needed. A bowl with plastic wrap over the top, does work fine to steam them to remove the skin. The only thing is I wish the video would have mentioned how to preserve the roasted red peppers or how to store them in the fridge best. I am still trying to figure that one out. TY
