Plays: 30836

Get CHEFCLAUDE’s 5-star recipe for Refried Beans without the Refry. A classic side dish for Mexican dishes like enchiladas and tacos, they're also so tasty served beside steaks and roast chicken! @Heidi: According to this nutrition calculator, the whole batch will have the following characteristics (maybe slightly less, since you don't use all the cooking liquid): Calories: 2110 Carbs: 385 Fat: 7 Protein: 126 Sodium: 11708 Sugar: 18 I imagine carbs, fat, protein, and sugar are given in grams, and sodium is milligrams, though the calculator gives unitless values. The recipe does not give a suggested serving amount - maybe just figure out how much you can eat based on the amount of carbs you're allowed?

Mike wrote that he freezes leftover bean. I along with Fred's comment, what would be the max time on freezing them? Or to be canned?
