May 19, 2013 3:30 PMDon't be so hard on bakers. Do you have any idea what it takes to make your own Danish? About 2 hours of your time just to make the dough if you don't do it very often. I tried it ONCE. You have to roll the dough thin and then work it out even thinner with your fingers, working it so it goes over the sides of the table without getting any tears in it. Then you cut cold butter into tiny pieces and spread over half the dough, fold it and then more tiny pieces over each succeeding fold. Oh-oh, there is a tear and another one. Seal them and be more careful! Frankly, I didn't care whether it tasted good or not I was so happy to finally be done with it!
