I had never made pork chops before, but I have quite a bit of experience cooking in general. I followed the first few steps in this video and found very quickly that my chops were cooking way too fast. I ended up searing the chops for only 2 minutes on the first side and then 1 minute on the other. I was very worried that the chops were going to burn. I turned the heat down to low like the video says and ended up taking them off the heat all together because I did not want them to over cook. I was not happy with the result. I recommend not searing them at high heat, because the chops were too black and started to char after only 2 minutes. I tried chops again using my electric skillet and they turned out much better. I will never use these steps again, as I have heard over and over that the worst thing you can do to a chop is over cook it.
