She is right about cooling the macaroni. It will be cool enough staying in the frig while chopping up all the ingredients to add (except the mayonaise). Just add the ingredients and 1/2 of the mayonaise. Let the salad stay in the fridge until ready to serve. Cooking the night before realy blends the flavors. The macaroni will be firmer when the mayonaise is cut down. Right before serving add the rest of the mayonaise for it's moisture.
