How to Clean Your Grill

Plays: 48477

Grilling is practically a rite of summer. And routinely cleaning your outdoor grill is an important part of the tradition. A clean grill makes food taste better and your grill last longer. Best of all, it’s very easy. In this video, we’ll show you how to clean your grill in just four simple steps. We’ll show you how to disassemble, clean the inside surfaces, and reassemble the grill. With a gas grill, you’ll want to carefully clean the grease, ash, and residue from around the barbeque’s burner. We’ll show you how to soak your grates while you clean out the ash (from a charcoal grill) or remove the briquettes, lava rocks, or metal-frame shield from a gas grill. We’ll show you how to brush the soaked grates and season them with cooking spray. You’ll also get a trick for burning off any cleaning residue the next time you fire up the grill for burgers, steaks, chicken, and much more!

Here in Mexico folks chop an onion in half and rub exposed part on the hot grill which cleans and seasons, go two for one!
