Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Plays: 85288

In this video, you’ll see how to make succulent, Mexican-style shredded beef in your slow cooker. The blend of spices and the low-and-slow cooking method turn chuck roast into spicy, wonderfully tender, fall-apart meat that’s perfect for soft tacos, burritos, and other Mexican-inspired dishes. It gets its spicy punch from cayenne, green chiles, chili powder, and hot pepper sauce. Watch the video, then get CHARLEY357’s top-rated recipe for Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat. You can also use pork roast for this! See more Mexican food videos >>

Been making something similar for a very long time. After browning the roast, I put it into the crockpot with a jar of salsa. I cook on low until the meat is tender enough to shred with forks. Wrap in a warm tortilla, add favorite toppings... Yum!! I am also going to try this with salsa verde...

Can I do it on the stove top too? Would love to make this, but don't have a slow cooker. :-(
