Will use way less salt next time as it was too salty even after parboiling for a minute, the ice bath, and then a second rinse.

I agree with everyone who says to skip the boiling. I make my strips with a Vegetti. By the time I have sauteed the zuch in a little olive oil/butter combo, they are perfectly done.

I like morleyo's idea, the flavourings and accompaniments sound really good. But I would change the tadpole's arse of butter to a toad's toe.
