Al B I made Chef John's peaches with a little different twist. I followed the recipe but instead of barbeque sauce I covered the peaches with maple syrup and topped them with cinnamon. I put the peaches on the top shelf of the barbeque for about 10 minutes and then put them flesh side down on the grill for about 5 minutes until I had nice grill marks. I topped them with vanilla ice cream. What a nice summer desert.

I totally love August with all the fresh peaches, corn on the cob, blueberries, and veggies. I had to go into the hospital and had the dilemma of dealing with a basket of peaches. I dipped them in boiling water, slid off the skins, cut them really small, and made freezer jam. It will be so nice to dig into it during the cold winter months!

How about trying "Mountain peaches" for breakfast! Place 1 peach per person in saucepan deep enough to cover with water. Boil till fork tender. Remove from water, cut in half, remove seed & place small pat of butter in indentation. Sprinkle with a little sugar. Enjoy with a piece of toast. Don't you just love August!
