hello r "May 13, 2014 3:31 pm help! English is not my first language. what was the chees name?" The cheeses used were: Ricotta in the soft filling, Mozzerella slices and Parmesan cheese to top. A little Parmesan is good in the Ricotta filling, too. I would hold off on the final cheese until the foil cover is removed. A mixture of shredded Mozzerella and Parmesan (and herbs) is another way to top the lasagna. This is just about how I make my lasagna except for wayyyyyy less salt.

Why do you top with only meat and parmesan at the end? The recipe says to top with remaining MOZZARELLA and parmesan cheese. Which is correct?
