Fried PB&J Pinchy Pies

Plays: 7971

In this video, you’ll see how to make incredibly quick-and-easy fried pies filled with peanut butter and jelly. The secret ingredient is white bread! Simply cut rounds out of slices of white bread, spread on a little PB and some J, and then pinch the edges together all the way around. Toss them into hot oil, and fry until crispy and delicious. For the tastiest results, dust your pies with powdered sugar. These make super fun snacks that kids (of all ages) will absolutely love! Watch the video, then get the recipe for Chef John’s Fried PB&J Pinchy Pies.

LOL! I love this guy! So funny. I can't believe he didn't receive any other props for this recipe. Sure, it's super unhealthy. Oh well, folks. Get over yourself. Have a little fatty fat fat every now and then. It makes your soul happy. Thank you so much, Chef for this recipe. It was wonderful. Also, thanks for the laughs. I thought you were being funny unintentionally when saying 'Round the outside, round the outside..' But the shout out to the trailer park girls had me literally lol'ing. Thanks :)

I'm from Alabama and we have made these for years, only a little different and can be used camping. We roll out a cheap cand biscuit and put in pie filling and fold over and press with finger or fork and dry in butter. YuMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
